About the Role

Develop tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions for complex manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design capabilities with practical manufacturing knowledge, translating machining requirements into reliable, efficient, and production-ready engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, workholding systems, and manufacturing support equipment.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Evaluate part geometry, machining operations, datum strategies, and machine-tool constraints to develop effective design solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, and machine simulation specialists to ensure designs support the intended machining process.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, and mechanical design principles to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Support design reviews, prototype evaluations, assembly, testing, and onsite implementation.
• Troubleshoot tooling and fixture performance, incorporating improvements based on manufacturing and inspection results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, tooling engineering, fixture design, or manufacturing equipment development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing creation.
